Using Good Memories

“I thank my God every time I remember you”

Philippians 1:3 (NIV)

Paul is writing to the followers of Christ in Philippi. They are a group of believers that he must have had some good times with and took their relationship with God seriously. When he thinks and ‘remembers’ them it made him feel encouraged.

If we have people that have been in our lives, past or present, it is good for us to think of them and thank God for them.

I use to keep pictures by my bedroom mirror of past friends that influenced my life. Those who God had impacted their lives. Several mornings I would wake up and not “feel” like God even existed. Feelings come and go, but those individuals who were effected by a living God were real! It sustained my growing faith.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, as I think about friends, family and others You have allowed to intersect my life over the years, I want to thank You for them. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
