Got ya covered
Jesus said, “Why are you afraid? You don’t have enough faith.” Then He got up and gave a command to the wind and the waves, and it became completely calm. Matthew 8:26 (NIV)
The disciples were in a boat with Jesus and a furious storm hit. The wind and waves were intense. These guys were scared, as we would probably be. On the other hand , Jesus was napping. They had to wake Him up!
Picture the scene; He gets up, looks around to see their faces and the storm. Then basically says in verse 26 (above), “Don’t worry fellas. I’m right here and I always ‘got ya covered’.”
God doesn’t promise that we won’t have storms in our lives. But we can relax and know if we depend on Him, He can ‘calm’ those storms in His time.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, teach me to depend on You to get through, as well as, learn from the storms that come into my life. Calm those storms. I need You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
