The lazy man says, “There is a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!” Proverbs 26:13

We need to ask ourselves when we choose not to do something, “is this an excuse or a legitimate reason?” I do catch myself doing some mental gymnastics to convince myself not to do something that probably needed to be done.

Being lazy can stifle our personal growth, social development, and even our career choices or opportunities. We can’t let “I just don’t feel like it” get in the way of what we need to do.

We can ask God for the courage to get on those “lion infested streets” that can scare us away from many potential blessings. Ask God to help you fulfill your career passions, to advance your physical conditioning program, to give you the guts to ask out that special girl or guy…

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, give me the courage to pursue my dreams or desires that line up with what You think is best for me. Thank You for protecting me as I walk in Your Spirit. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
