“Ready or not, here I come!”
“You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance” Psalm 32:7
We all need a retreat. A place to regroup. Times to refresh and refocus. An island to emotionally let go. A ‘hiding place’!
God wants to be that ‘hiding place’. Sure, vacations are good. But we need to evaluate where we go for escape. Drinking, parties, fantasy football, ESPN, social hang outs, music, sitcoms…
God knows we need a place to get away from the stresses of life. And if He primarily becomes that “place”, He will ‘protect’ and ‘deliver’ us from our poor choices. He will help us think through and seek His help with what is going on around us and to us.
Take time to stop each day to sit in His ‘hiding place’. And when things are really tough, get away and pour your heart out and talk it through with the One who invented us in the first place.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the ultimate ‘hiding place’. Give me a renewal of my heart and great times of relief when I get alone with You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
