Re-Train our Brain
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect” Romans 12:2 (NLT)
We need to realize that there is a battle for our minds. The way we think about ourselves, others, morals, ethics, parenting, marriage, work, money…all have perspectives that need renewed by the Spirit who lives in us.
If we choose to learn to think how God made us to view the issues of life, we have to know that it doesn’t come naturally. It only comes supernaturally.
We can allow Him to “re-train our brain” through bible study, reading devotionals (like victory247.org), pondering in prayer, sermons, consulting with wise believers, and discussing with Christians of strong faith. Then take time to think!
I know people who do these intense exercise programs to reshape and renew their bodies. I guarantee significant blessings, increased joy and peace if you go into the God-fueled, re-thinking exercise program. You will make better choices that guide you into God’s most satisfying will, plan and experience for your life.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, show me Your ways, teach me Your paths. Continually renew my mind to help me understand life, people, myself and You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
