Who’s he?
“Anyone who says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same manner as Jesus walked” 1 John 2:6
Being a basketball coach, this is an exciting time of the year. A question I have often pondered, “what would Jesus be if He were a part of a basketball team?”
Though He would make the best coach, would be the best athlete, it wouldn’t even be fair if He was the Athletic trainer, I think He would be the manager. If not the manager, He would be a player that hung out with and helped the manager.
The team manager is that person who serves the team oftentimes without even being acknowledged. Organizing water bottles, uniforms, and making sure all the equipment is ready is a thankless position that most players completely take advantage of.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, give me eyes to see those who are taken for granted and those who are serving behind the scenes. Help me to encourage and assist them. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
