Say what?
“When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise”
Proverbs 10:19 (NIV)
I use to have this verse up on my bathroom wall. It was my reminder to think before I talk. Many times we catch ourselves thinking with our mouth instead of our mind.
Then there are those conversations that we don’t even try to listen to others with intent of understanding them. We are just waiting our turn to talk about our favorite subject; me, I, self. Selfless conversation includes asking good questions and attempting to feel for others.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, help me to be aware of my tongue and listen to myself as you develop my social skills. Thank you that You will bless my relationships. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
